The Extent of Payroll Deductions in the Process of Decision Enforcement

A new maximum that can be deducted from the obliged party`s salary within a process of decision enforcement has been introduced. It represents 60% of the subsistence minimum for an adult natural person. It follows from the provision of Sec. 1 (1) of the Government`s Decree No. 268/2006 Coll. on the Extent of Payroll Deductions within Enforcement of Decisions.

With effect as of 1 November 2013, the basic amount which must not be deducted in case of recipients of pensions, old age pension savings, or occupational pension benefits amounts to 100% of the subsistence minimum for an adult natural person valid in the month for which the deductions are made, i.e. the sum of EUR 194.58. In case of the adult natural persons who are not recipients of pensions, old age pension savings, or occupational pension benefits, the original extent of deductions, amounting to 60% of the subsistence minimum, remains unchanged, i.e. 60% of EUR 194.58.
